Hipobuy Spreadsheet Parcel Cover

Notices that touch parcel cover, and this guide's change log

Cover rules change quietly: a new table image, a route that appears or disappears, a string left in the site code. This page records the ones we noticed and when we last checked.

Official changes that affect cover

The current paid table image is dated 9 January 2026 and the free one 21 March 2026, both inside the insurance and compensation article. Hipobuy's help articles do not show publication or update dates, so we record the date we read them instead: 16 October 2026.

Two other official notices sit close to cover. The Rehearsal Parcel, announced as a new feature in August 2025, lets you see the packed weight before choosing a route, which is the weight the free cover pays by. And on 16 October 2026 the estimator carried a shipping coupon banner; promotions like that change weekly, so check the estimator itself rather than relying on any date here.

Hipobuy's own community channels

Hipobuy points customers to a Discord server and to the r/Hipobuy_ subreddit, both linked from its own site. They are useful for announcements and for asking other customers how a claim went.

We do not summarise what people say there or turn it into ratings; anecdotes about payouts vary with the route, the date and the evidence, and the tables are the only thing we can check.

If you ask about a claim there, give the route name and the date, and compare any answer with the published tables. A payout someone received on another route, or before March 2026, may say nothing about yours.

What we watch for between checks

Some changes would alter the advice on this site overnight, and they are the ones we look for first. A new image in place of either table is the obvious one: the 40-yuan rate, the damage line and the 5,000-yuan cap all live inside those two pictures, not in searchable text.

The second is the free-cover flag. If routes to the United States, Australia or Canada start including free cover, or the European routes stop, the counts on the route flags page and the comparator's route list both need redoing. The third is wording: if the customs option is rewritten so the three versions agree, or a delay option reappears in the route data, the paid cover page changes with it.

Promotions are deliberately left out. Coupons and banners on Hipobuy change every week or two, and a guide about payouts gains nothing from repeating them.

This guide's change log

Last updated 16 October 2026. First version. Read both insurance articles, the insurance FAQ, the logistics platformization note, the combined payment rules and the cover strings in Hipobuy's site code; queried the estimator for ten destinations; hovered all 56 French result tags to confirm the free-cover test.

Next check: within 14 days, or sooner if Hipobuy changes either table. Route counts are the first thing to go stale; the 40-yuan rate and the 5,000-yuan cap have been stable in the table images we have seen.
